Garrett

Garrett is our fun-loving, head in the clouds, mischievous little guy. He is always the one to try things first and is usually the one to say things that stop us in our tracks and then crack us up.

Two night ago, he came in our room in the middle of the night and came up to me and said, "Mom, a peacock is tickling me." Mark and I started cracking up. Mark scooped him up and put him back in his bed. I could hear Mark laughing as he walked back to bed. He said Garrett was still talking nonsense and had to have all of his stuffed animal on his head. Garrett talks in his sleep most nights but that one is by far our favorite.

Last night at the dinner table, we were saying Grace and said a special blessing for C* and the babies in her belly. After Grace was over he looked at Nana and asked if C* has a boob. Nana looked at me and you could see that she was trying so hard not to laugh and trying even harder to figure out how to respond. She went into the long explanation about how mama's have milk for their babies in their breasts and all that good stuff. Garrett listened intently until she was finished and then said, "yes, but does she have a boob?" We laughed so hard it hurt. We called C* so she could laugh too. We don't remember using the word boob while I was breastfeeding Nolan but apparently that's what was said because that's what he remembers. During all of this, Hudson just kept eating dinner, completely uninterested.
I can only imaging the stories his teachers will have.
