art after dinner

We usually try to get the kids outside after dinner to burn off the last bits of energy. Yesterday, temperatures reached 102 and there was no way we were venturing out of the air conditioning. We had been talking about this art project for a while. The boys rarely sit still so we weren't sure how it would turn out. We traced their bodies on to a large piece of paper and then let them color all over it. Thank goodness they had as much fun as we did!

Garrett didn't always follow the "no coloring on yourself" rule.

But he sure did like coloring on the big piece of paper.

Hudson took this project as more of a chance to relax with dad.

He colored lying down the entire time.
